Nancy Louise Kyes is credited under her stage name Nancy Loomis in most of her film appearances. She is best known for her role as Annie Brackett in Halloween and the sequel, Halloween II. She also played the role of Linda Challis in Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
Add two more roles in John Carpenter films: as Julie in Assault on Precinct 13 and as Sandy Fadel in The Fog and you have the makings of a horror movie legend.
On top of that, Nancy’s character in Halloween is widely credited for having unintentionally created a trend in horror movies where female characters who smoke, have premarital sex or appear either nude or in their underwear, get killed off.
After retiring from acting, she worked as a sculptor in the Los Angeles area along with teaching theater courses.
