Sunday is Kids Day
Included with Admission: Sure, kids 12 and under still get in free all weekend. But for Sunday we have day planned just for those kids.
Vendor Trick or Treat
Many booths will have something special for the kids on Sunday. Just look for the red balloon for participating vendors.

You may not like to hear these sounds at home, but at Scarefest we give out prizes for the best bloodcurdling SCREAM! Join in and let us hear those pipes in our first annual Kids Scream Queen contest! Bring your little divas and devils and let us hear what those deadly screams!

Kid's Horror Trivia: Sunday 2:30PM
We will be hosting horror trivia on the main entertainer stage of The Scarefest on Sunday just for kids. Play individually. We will spin the wheel for the category and each round gets harder until one trivia buff in each age group stands alone. All entries get a LexLive game card with more awards to be announced.
Kid's Horror Panel: Sunday 3:30PM
Kids love horror, but often times parents are afraid to let their kids dive in, with good reason. We welcome the creators of Junior High Horrors, Rob Potchak and Eric Kent on stage to discuss their All-Ages horror parody, and how their comic allows kids to dip their toes into the world of horror, while still dealing with their real life situations. Bring the little ones to listen in, and ask questions, and they may get something special!.

Prize: Top Finalists receive VIP Celebrity Party tickets and move on to finalist Round on the VIP stage at LexLive.

Theatrical Premier of 13 Slays Till Xmas: Saturday 7PMIncluded with Admission: In the LexLive theater as part of Scarefest 13: Resurrection. The premier will be launched with a “Black Carpet Event” on the premises of LexLive and followed by a Panel Discussion featuring many of the horror anthology film’s notables.
Film Festival Feature Presentation: Saturday 8PMIncluded with Admission: Join us after the expo at LexLive with the Booth Brothers as they host a Feature Presentation of their latest movie, The Attached.
Silver Screams VIP Halloween Extravaganza: Saturday 9PMAdmission included with your VIP Level pass. The Rockstar DJ Tre officiates what could be Lexington’s biggest Halloween party ever. While he is doing his thing on the VIP stage at LexLive, be sure to check out all of our VIP and public events and films (details below) plus all of the activities that LexLive has to offer.

FRIDAY’S SCHEDULE
The Scarefest Film Festival: Starting Friday at 1PM*
Included with Admission: Friday 1PM through 8PM, Saturday and Sunday during regular convention hours. The Scarefest Film Festival takes a new format this year at LexLive! First: it actually starts before* the convention doors open so that those of you who arrive early will have a great way to kick off the weekend. Just show up at LexLive with ANY Scarefest pass (or buy one there in our ticket kiosk) and watch all of the horror and paranormal as you wish in the comfort of a real theater.
Friday is Hero Day
All First Responders (law enforcement, firefighters, medics, and military – active and retired) get free admission to the expo floor during convention hours Friday. Just show up with your official I.D. No purchase nor pre-ticketing necessary.
The Official Start of Scarefest: Friday 3PM
VIP level pass holders and Media Pass holders converge on the black carpet at 3PM Friday at the expo entrance for massive photo opportunities of our celebrities, speakers, and other dignitaries.

Throw Axes with Killers: Friday 9PM

Free Public Event: Bowling and ax throwing not your thing? Well get your song on. We are taking over the Corner Bar at LexLive and doing Scaryoke. Expect some celebrities to drop in (because they LOVE Scaryoke). Basically… it’s karaoke for horror fans!

Bud Jenness: Jack the Ripper…The King of Serial Killers
Bud Jenness
From a very young age, Bud Jenness has had an intense fascination with the legendary Blood Fiend of White Chapel, Jack the Ripper. Bud has studied extensively on the subject and, in 1992, he accompanied renowned ”Ripperologist” and Author, Donald Rumbelow, on the famous Jack the Ripper Walking Tour, and discussed the case with Rumbelow in depth. Bud had been monitoring the many documentaries and books on the Ripper case ever since, comparing and contrasting the various theories and speculations about the identity of the mysterious killer. He’s noticed that much of what he learned from Rumbelow does not appear in other texts, or in documentaries and, in this seminar, he would like to share what he knows with those interested in the case as well.
Bud Jenness has been a paranormal researcher for over 20 years. His macabre interests include Hauntings, the Philosophy of Ghosts & the Afterlife, and the Deviant Psychology of Serial Killers. Bud holds advanced degrees in world religion, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English. He has been a public speaker for over two decades. He had been a guest speaker at Scarefest repeatedly in the past, and has been a special guest on podcasts, and at other conventions.
